Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a multifunctional material, with uses as varied as binders for paints and varnishes. Its biggest use though is in the furniture industry in the form of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), which most people know as Plexiglas or acrylic glass. The majority of polycarbonate furniture is made from cast polycarbonate. To create cast polycarbonate, liquid acrylic is set in a mould and left to harden. Polycarbonate is both easy to care for and unbreakable. Just wipe spills clean with a chamois cloth, not with standard one, as acrylic charges easily and this can attract dust particles. Caution: Do not clean with alcohol or solvents as these may damage the surface.
